Overview

Willie Jewell's Bar-B-Q at 105 Murabella Pkwy, St. Augustine, FL 32092, United States, is a spot that effortlessly combines casual dining with authentic barbecue flavors. The moment you walk in, the aroma of smoked meats fills the air, instantly setting the tone for a hearty meal. From personal visits, I’ve noticed that the atmosphere strikes a balance between family-friendly comfort and the lively buzz of a popular local eatery. Tables are well-spaced, and the dΓ©cor reflects the classic barbecue charm, making it a welcoming environment for both small gatherings and larger groups.

The menu offers a diverse selection of barbecue favorites, including pulled pork, ribs, smoked chicken, and brisket. Each dish is prepared using time-honored smoking techniques that ensure the meat is tender, juicy, and rich in flavor. I’ve tried the pulled pork on multiple visits, and what stands out is not just the smoky depth but also the perfectly balanced sauces, ranging from sweet to tangy, which complement the meat rather than overpower it. Alongside the mains, the side dishes deserve equal praise. The baked beans, coleslaw, and seasoned fries are all made fresh daily, creating a well-rounded plate that satisfies on multiple levels.

The service at Willie Jewell's Bar-B-Q is consistently friendly and attentive. During a lunch visit, I noticed how staff anticipated needs without being intrusive, from offering drink refills to suggesting popular menu items. Our first time hearing we enjoyed it a bunch. We had a 1921 burger with onion rings and the homemade Redskins potato salad. All was very good, but the dessert was extra good. We had peach cobbler, hot, with vanilla ice cream. So good. unfortunately, we ate the burger before I remembered to take pictures, but I did get a picture of the peach cobbler.

The people are so very nice here. It really makes a difference going somewhere people are friendly. The ribs and brisket were very good. Had plenty to take back home with us. The Brunswick stew tasted good but it was more watery for my taste. I really loved the atmosphere of this place. I am not sure if all the locations are the same but it was very nice. Even the bathroom wallpaper was humerous.

Great family place. Very friendly and accommodating staff. I was impressed with how clean the place is kept. The BBQ was delicious. The brisket was very tender and had a nice bark on it. The pork had a nice smoky flavor and the meat on the ribs just fell off the bone. Yum! Sides were good too. We had iced tea, which was really good, but they serve beer and wine also. Highly recommended.

Very generous portions. Picture doesn't do it justice, but it was very good. We got pulled pork, brisket, ribs combo platters, all great. Quick in and out even though the place was full on a Sunday Noon. Disappointed about the rice and beans side way too much pepper, but corn bread, hush puppies and fried pickles were great. Definitely, coming back.
